Our laying hens double as one of our not so secret bug control methods, devouring bugs and worms, tons of leaves (and the unfortunately the occasional tomato). The diet and exercise they undergo make our free range eggs noticeably different than the eggs laid by hens confined to a cage barely bigger than themselves. And oh the taste! We’ve gotten used to eating free range eggs.
